Wandered through Old Montreal to the port to see Cirque du Soleil’s latest show Luzia: A Waking Dream of Mexico. Amazing!
Met our babysitter Courtney and headed our for DATE NIGHT!! This is our first date night in a long time - between Jacks travel scheule and our various end of year obligations we haven't been out alone since Christmas!! We set off from our condo through the festive streets of old town then through Chinatown (every town has one!). Many sections of streets are closed to traffic for the Montreal Jazz Festival so that added a nice, festive air. We continued walking to our carefully selected and oft recommended dinner spot - Maison Publique. It did not disappoint! Fois gras parfait, baked oysters, fried rabbit ... not a spot to take the kids! It is located in a peaceful, residential area of Montreal. Our sitter described it as Montreal's Brooklyn b/c it's both hipster and Jewish! We walked off our buzz down ecclectic, Rue St Denis. So much to explore in this town.
