July 11 - Pool Party and the Hair Dryer Opera

Jack left early for Columbus for a 2-day business trip.  The girls and I were happy to get a short respite from the hard-charging schedule that Jack sets for us all!  Even on vacation he's go, go, go!  So we decided we would spend the afternoon at the pool.  No audio guide; no history lesson; no fifteen block walk to the best <food item> in the city - just fun in the sun!  After exhausting ourselves in the water and devouring dinner at our favorite local pizza place, we went home to de-chlorinate and get ready to see our second circus show of the trip.  This show, entitled Opera of the Hair Dryer, is part of the Circus Festival so I didn't expect it to be nearly as impressive as Cirque du Soleil.  It was not. But, it looked charmingly off-beat in the brochure and it delivered on that score in spades!
