After we landed, I was looking for an oversized Canadian flag - or even a maple leaf in front of which, I could capture a photo of my smiling family as we entered into Canada. I was not expecting this to be difficult ... This is Canada - there are maple leaves *everywhere*, right? I couldn't find one ... hmmm. After driving through downtown Montreal en route to Quebec City, I made a point to look for flags - none. We made a game of it for the kids ... A loonie to anyone who can spot a Canadian flag ... 🇨🇦. The kids did not get rich today. Oddly, there are very few Quebec provincial flags flying either (admittedly, more than Canadian flags but still ...) we drove through 2 major cities and the countryside in between - nothing!!
I intend to do some research and find out what gives with the flag-o-phobia here!
On a side note - had our first Poutine ... At McDonald's. Surprisingly good! Yum! Tucked in to bed in Chateau Frontenac. 😴
